This static website is hosted using GitHub Pages. Delivering a page necessarily transmits technical connection data to the hosting infrastructure, including your IP address and request information such as the requested URL, time, browser information and, where sent by your browser, the referring page. GitHub states that it records visitors’ IP addresses for security purposes, including visits made without a GitHub account.
We use hosting to make the project documentation available and to maintain reliable, secure operation. The legal basis for our processing is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR: our legitimate interest in providing and securing this public information service. Providing connection data is necessary for delivery; without it the website cannot be retrieved. We do not use these visits to make automated decisions about you.
GitHub’s privacy statement identifies GitHub, Inc. and GitHub B.V. as controllers for processing within its scope. Its infrastructure and service providers may process data outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. GitHub describes its transfer safeguards, including the EU–US Data Privacy Framework where applicable and standard contractual clauses, in its privacy statement. We do not set GitHub’s security-log retention period. GitHub describes retention by reference to the purpose of processing, security and legal obligations; no fixed site-specific deletion period is represented here.
The website code does not set cookies, use browser local storage, run analytics or advertising trackers, or embed video, social feeds or externally hosted fonts. Styles and images are served from this website. We do not request consent for tracking because we do not implement such tracking. Normal delivery and browser caching of requested pages remain necessary technical functions.
Links to GitHub, JetBrains and other websites do not embed those services. If you follow a link, the destination provider processes the resulting request under its own privacy terms. The browser and the effective referrer policy determine whether a referring URL is sent. A destination receives your IP address when you visit it.
If you email or call us, we process your contact details and the content you provide to answer your enquiry. Depending on the enquiry, the legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR (steps towards or performance of a contract) or Article 6(1)(f) GDPR (handling project correspondence). Communication service providers process messages as needed for delivery. We retain correspondence while needed to handle the enquiry and any related follow-up or legal claims. Applicable statutory retention obligations take precedence; information no longer required is deleted. Do not send passwords, access tokens or sensitive production data.
Issues, discussions and pull requests on GitHub are public unless the interface expressly states otherwise. Your account identity and contribution can be visible and retained with the project history. Participation is voluntary. Our processing for collaboration and maintenance is based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. GitHub’s own processing is described in its privacy statement. Please avoid publishing personal information that is unnecessary for the technical discussion.
Subject to the applicable legal conditions, you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability. You may object to processing based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR on grounds relating to your particular situation. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it for the future; this does not affect earlier lawful processing. Contact us using the details above. For processing controlled independently by GitHub, you can also contact GitHub.
You may lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, particularly in your place of habitual residence, work or the alleged infringement. The authority for Bremen is the Landesbeauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit Bremen.
We will update this notice if the website’s services or processing change. Adding analytics, embedded external content or other optional storage requires a fresh assessment before activation.
